Making the Sign Industry a Safer Place.

You have a sign business to run, we’re here to help with complimentary advice. If you need assistance with Electrical Codes and Standards for a new or existing sign, the USSCF has the resources for you.

Sign companies like yours help customers find the right sign solution, but sometimes issues with approvals occur.  Our Technical Advisers are here to help you with challenges like keeping up with changes in codes and standards.

Randall Wright is the USSC Foundation Electrical and Fire Safety Advisor.  He is a 38-year veteran of the electric sign industry and a 45-year active Life Member of the volunteer fire service.  He holds an Advanced Certificate in Business Management from Penn State University, and many industry and fire related courses.  You’ll find Randall attending sign industry events to stay up to speed on this dynamic, but critically important, part of the sign industry.

Being a voting member of NEC Code panel 18 Randy has direct influence on the Codes that control signs and outline lighting.  Being an STP member of UL Standards, he has direct input on the Standards that control the listing of signs, retrofits, outline lighting, components, power supplies and luminaires.
